Last week we welcomed all of the pupils, including our new Reception class back to the school. It was fabulous to see the smiles on the faces of all of the children and their parents.
Headmaster, Mr Gosden, gave the children a fabulous assembly with 3 important tips to take onboard throughout the year.
Mr Gosden welcomed the children and our new starters, before introducing them to his 3 valuable tips.
Tip one was to try something new, to be bold and put themselves out there. The children were inspired to have courage, perseverance, and resilience. This is fantastic advice for the children as they start the new academic year, and may be starting a new club or learning a new instrument.
Tip two was to find wonder. Mr Gosden encouraged the children to explore their creative mind without holding back, and to take time to stop, look and observe. It is important for the children to ask questions of themselves, others, teachers and parents to reflect on their day.
Tip three was to ask for help. Whether in Reception or Year 6, the children take on new loads of work and it is important that children know how to manage this.
This assembly was a great opportunity for the children and Mr Gosden to think about their goals for the next year.
