Years 3 to 6 Athletics Day

8th July 24

A busy end to the term saw the usual flurry of activities including the Year 3 to 6 Athletics Day, which was very well supported by parents and we were blessed with the weather. Three school records were broken and all our young competitors gave strong individual performances.

The pupils took part in a range of events at Kingsmeadow last week, including 50m sprints, 400m runs, 600m runs, relays, howler throw and the standing long-jump. All pupils competed for points to add to their house. In first place was Corpus, 2nd was Magdalen, 3rd was Pembroke and in 4th was Trinity. The pupils with the most points earned individually during the day were awarded ‘highest point scorer in a track event’, ‘highest point scorer in a field event’, ‘overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place highest point scorer’. These pupils were awarded medals and trophies by Mr Price.

Thank you to Mr Box for organising such a fantastic day of sports and thank you to all the parents who showed their support.
