Chiswick Book Festival – poetry competition winners receive their prizes

On Friday 13 September, Mrs Tiney, Mrs Colclough, Ms Lever and Miss Challis all accompanied our four poetry prize winners to Chiswick Book Festival to receive recognition and prizes for their wonderful poems entered last term in the Chiswick Young People’s Poetry competition. The teachers and families of the boys were delighted to see them stand in front of an audience of over 130 parents, teachers and pupils from local West London primary and Prep schools and receive a goody bag of books and a certificate. The boys had beaming smiles as they listened to lines of their poems being read out on stage!
We look forward to entering the competition again next year in the summer term.

Arha Deshpande: Year 3 category; First prize
Gabriel Knowles: Year 3 category; Second prize
Gobind Sahota: Year 3 category; Highly Commended
